How it fights
The hushglass takes your skills away. It never attacks (its bite is 0); it walks slowly at you, and once you are within 6 tiles it lifts its pane of black glass over its head. For the 1 s the pane is going up, a cold grey ring 3 tiles round it is drawn on the ground, filling inward (grey, not red: it hurts nobody). Once the pane is up, no hero inside that ring can cast a skill: the skill buttons do nothing, but the basic attack, walking and potions all still work. It keeps walking at 60% of its pace with the pane held. Step out of the ring to cast again; get 9 tiles away and it lowers the pane, and waits 2 s before it can raise it again. Or break it with plain attacks: 314 HP on floor 26, 18–27 basic swings. At most 2 are alive at once, and an open area’s pack holds one at most.

Floor by floor
The same hushglass gets tougher each floor: the floor multiplies its HP, bite and speed. An elite hushglass has 3× the HP, gives 5× the XP and always drops at least a magic item plus 5 coins. “Share of waves” is the part of the floor’s wave monsters that roll as a hushglass.
