How it fights

The sexton never closes in. It backs off when you are nearer than 4 tiles and comes in when you are further than 6, and from up to 8 tiles away it lobs a skull at the spot you stand on: a ground marker of 0.8 tiles radius is drawn at the throw and the skull bursts there 0.9 s later, for 5 base damage (10 on floor 6). It throws every 3.33 s plus up to 0.67 s. Keep moving and the skulls land behind you; with only 34 HP on floor 6 it is the monster to run at. At most 4 are alive at once.

Floor by floor

The same sexton gets tougher each floor: the floor multiplies its HP, bite and speed. An elite sexton has 3× the HP, gives 5× the XP and always drops at least a magic item plus 5 coins. “Share of waves” is the part of the floor’s wave monsters that roll as a sexton.
