How it fights

The fusebelly is harmless to touch (its bite is 0) and slow at 0.8 tiles a second. The danger is its death: when it dies a ring of 1.2 tiles radius is drawn round the body, and 1 s later it bursts for 12 base damage (26 on floor 11) to everything inside. Kill it at range, or walk out of the ring the moment you see it. At most 6 are alive at once. It drops a little more than its HP suggests (8% item chance) to pay for the risk.

Floor by floor

The same fusebelly gets tougher each floor: the floor multiplies its HP, bite and speed. An elite fusebelly has 3× the HP, gives 5× the XP and always drops at least a magic item plus 5 coins. “Share of waves” is the part of the floor’s wave monsters that roll as a fusebelly.
